Looking at outbreaks, there were no new additions to the EOHU’s list, nor any new outbreaks resolved, since Tuesday. As within other sectors, provincial data includes more information on each outbreak based on the data provided by the EOHU, and the Standard-Freeholder has added this data to its tracking and will include it in regular reporting from time-to-time.

There were no changes to provincial data on COVID-19 cases related to licensed child-care centres within the EOHU, with a single staff member case at a centre in Prescott-Russell.

Looking to the provincial dataset that includes all COVID-19 cases, the count remains behind the numbers being reported by EOHU due to the time delay and other factors— it included 1,958 EOHU cases as of Wednesday morning.

The health unit reported an additional 559 COVID-19 tests taken at its six assessment centres and by paramedics compared to Tuesday, for a total of 96,622.

The health unit’s next scheduled COVID-19 media briefing is Thursday afternoon.
